MUSIC

Well, to begin with I must say that music means a lot in my life, since it has been one of my greatest hobbies that in fact almost became my profession…  Then, I'll tell you a little about my history together with music.

A couple of years ago... three years to be more accurate, I started to play the trumpet. Well, to tell them a bit as it began this interest in this instrument, I must comment that before this I played other instruments and strangely all began in some way in a similar way.

This way is that whenever I get inside a new musical world, there comes a point where I want to experience myself the style in my own flesh, It is so, like for example about the ten or eleven years old, I began to delve into the world of the Beatles (I've always believed that all people remember the day or lapse of time that this band came to our ears) and together to this I wanted to start with the guitar, of some way to imitate my idols of that moment.

A while later, at about fourteen years old, I began to discover the world of jazz by Hancock, Monk, Chick Corea, Bill Evans, etc. from what they imagine, I started to get into the world of piano and synthesizers.

And that's how we got to the year 2015, where I was immersed in artists like Miles Davis, Guillespie, Hubard, Clifford Brown, Sandoval, etc. and well, the interest for the trumpet was born. And well, with the short time, I feel that I have progressed a lot more in this, as I try to take a more serious study in terms of musical improvisation and its theory. Besides this I was able to create a band that tried to do something like the fusion haha... but well, I love to have discovered this passion.

THINGS YOU HATE AND LIKE ABOUT UNIVERSITY,CAREER.

In my first years of university I have become accustomed to the whole atmosphere of this faculty, but without a doubt that in the same way there are things that displease a little. The first thing is the infrastructure, although It’s not something I dislike so much because it’s not something bad, I feel that compared to other faculties of the university this is at a disadvantage… Things like, for example, not having a university cafeteria for faculty students… Just a couple of microwave ovens. Furthermore, I also believe that in recent year’s new laboratories and buildings have been implemented that improve the infrastructure every day. The other thing that I don’t like, has been the way in which this year we have been removed recreational spaces, because compared to last year, there were no problems with entertainment within the faculty, unlike now that the direction with the security corps is responsible for throwing down any extra activity… like the Quimifonda 😢 But wel...

FREE TIME ACTIVITIES

In my free time, lately I've been choosing to rest rather than recreate, as I have seen myself a bit short on time due to university, but anyway there are two activities that I have not stopped doing and serve to distract me and free me from academic pressure. The first, is to ride a road bike. Due to the limited time I have, the only possibility I've had lately is just to road through the city and climb the hills near to city as the San Cristobal . This activity is mostly practiced individually, but from time to time I also go out with my route partner Diego. Well, we'll have to wait for the holidays to make a great trip. I like this, because it allows me to travel and reach places that only walking could not do, plus how liberating it is for me to ride on the asphalt. And the second activity I love to do in my free time, is to play trumpet or piano in the comfort of my room, so it goes without saying that I do this individually. I like this because it allows me t...

A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

I would like to go to France, for various reasons, but particularly because I would like someday assist to Le Tour de France ,     one of the most important competition on the cycling. To be honest, I don’t know much about the history or culture beyond what we all know, but there is two things in particular that I’m interested, the first is the reason I mentioned on the beginning, really I want can someday assist to Tour de France , and see the greatest cyclists ride across magnificent landscapes, truly a unique experience... It's something like many of us would like to assist football world cup. The second reason, is known closer and with hope, be able to study one of the most important currents of jazz emerged in Europe, the Jazz Manouche, a style outside of the conventional standards or bebop from the forties, created by the gypsies in France, with arrangements what could it look like dirty but with a wealth far beyond the aesthetic. Well, I hope someday make th...
